Report on The Dog Friendly Office Tour and Information Seminar 2021

On December 7th, 2021, free stitch held the first-ever Dog-Friendly Office tour and information seminar here at our showroom in Jingumae in Tokyo! 

Since we started the project back in 2019, we have been regularly updating everyone on our progress, points for improvement, and any new ideas that have come up through the continued evolution of the project. However, we felt that we hadn’t had an appropriate time, place, or platform to meet and explain to everyone the benefits of the project face-to-face.  

So for the first time, our staff met and talked with customers and business owners alike about the details of the project and how we have found bringing a pet to the office and how it has improved our work-life balance.  

We were joined by pet owners, dog lovers, and also students who were interested in working for a company that implements a dog-friendly office system. On the business side, some of our attendees were company employees and owners who were considering starting up the project at their own places of work.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all of those who took the time to visit us on the day. 

During the seminar, our staff could answer many of the questions and address some of the concerns held over the practicality of running a Dog-Friendly Office; plus they had the opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of our two-year experience with their own dogs by showing participants how we work alongside our pets with a live demonstration.

Based on the feedback from everyone who joined, free stitch team are now thinking of new ways to meet and handle the various challenges raised concerning working alongside pets in the office.
