Revision of the 'Dog-Friendly Office' Guidelines and Announcing the 'Dog-Friendly Office Day'
In the spirit of ‘Enriching the Workplace with Your Dog’ at free stitch, launched the ‘Dog-Friendly Office Project’ in the hope that creating a comfortable working environment for staff members who work while keeping pets not only improves the quality of their work, but also improves the quality of life of the pets.
Since the project launch, we have carefully listened to and curated feedback from our staff and customer community about how their workplaces view bringing pets to the office, and from this feedback we have continued to refine and enhance guidelines for the project.
As part of our ongoing mission to develop the guidelines, we have revised and added to the eligibility criteria for bringing pets to work. In order to share the changes clearly and with transparency, we held a short briefing session with our staff members to give them an opportunity to ask any questions or to give feedback on the new conditions. At free stitch, we believe it is important to review the project guidelines periodically as a team in order to identify and improve upon any points that are not working in the best interests of all our staff and their pets.
In addition to reviewing the eligibility criteria, we decided to hold our annual ‘Dog-friendly Office Day’ on Thursday 12th May 2022. Last year we held the event in December and it was a huge success. It was also a great opportunity for us to explain to other customers and dog owners what the ‘Dog-friendly Office Project’ is about and we were able to get some valuable input from all attendees.
