Dog Friendly Office Project: What Are Some of the Benefits of Working from Home with Your Pet?

At free stitch, we are continuing to do our part to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 by encouraging our staff to work from home as much as possible.

Working from home not only reduces the amount of time commuting and keeping yourself and others safe from the spread of infection, but also allows you to spend more time at home with your beloved pet.

Some of our staff members who have senior pets are often worried about them when they come to office. If something happened to their pets while they were away, would they be able to react fast enough? Pets are as prone to sudden turns and changes in health conditions as much as children or even adults, so many staff wish they would be with their pet so they could take immediate action if necessary.

Through the ‘Dog Friendly Office Project’ we are hopefully contributing to a change in society’s attitude towards having pets in the office as well as working at home with our furry friends. By creating a comfortable working environment for our staff, we hope that we are in turn helping to create a better quality of life for our pets.

Nowadays working from home is becoming commonplace in the face of the global pandemic and it seems that people are spending more and more time with their pets than before. Let’s take this as the ideal opportunity to think about creating a society and workplace where people can work in harmony with animals.
