Dog Friendly Office Project Update: Staff Dog Maron-chan Visited the free stitch Office

In December, one of our staff members brought their dog ‘Maron’ to the office. 

This adorable little puppy is only four months old and was his first time outside of the home to socialise with others, so he stayed inside our office playpen to get used to the hustle and bustle of his new environment. 

Maron loves people, especially when they come and rub his belly! Once Maron feels a little more comfortable coming to the office, he will have more chances to interact with other dogs and people. 

In the spirit of ‘Enriching the Workplace with Your Dog' at free stitch, we started the ‘Dog Friendly Office Project’ in September 2019. For very young puppies like Maron, it is a great opportunity for them to come to the office and greet other dogs so they can grow in confidence. 

Puppies still have a weak immune system compared to adult dogs, so it is even more important to make sure that they have properly completed their third cycle of vaccinations before leaving the house for the first time. For more information about vaccinations and other precautions for coming to work with pets, we have drafted a set of guidelines to use as reference.
