[UPDATE] Dog Friendly Office Project: Introducing the Dog Friendly Office Day
To commemorate the launch of the Dog Friendly Office Project, we hold an annual event at the free stitch office called the ‘Dog Friendly Office Day’.
Dog Friendly Office Project Point 9: Leads and Collars
In our previous blog posts, we explained some of the logic behind setting the rules written in our guidelines for bringing pets to work. In our following series of blogs, we would like to focus on some of the precautions we should take while your pet is with you in the office.
Let’s look in more detail at point 1 of the office guidelines; ‘please bring and use collars and leads that your pet is familiar with’.
Notification of Temporary Same-day Shipping Deadline

Dog Friendly Office Project Point 8: Basic Manner Training
This time, we will focus on rule 7 of the guidelines; ‘Pets must have received basic training, such as toilet and manner training’. This is a very important point when considering converting to a dog-friendly office.
Dog Friendly Office Project Point 7: Pregnant, in-Heat or in-Season Pets
This time, we will focus on rule 6 of the guidelines; ‘pets in heat, in season or pregnant are not allowed’.

In order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, members of the free stitch team will continue to work from home. However we are pleased to confirm that business will continue to operate as usual.

Dog Friendly Office Project Point 6: Disposal of Dog Waste
This time, we will focus on rule 5 of the guidelines;
‘If fouling or urination occurs inside company property, please clean the affected area thoroughly and hygienically. Be sure to inform others of the affected area’ - a common issue many owners face when owning a pet.
Dog Friendly Office Project Point 5: Designating Pet-friendly Areas in the Office
This time, we will focus on rule 4 of the guidelines;

Dog Friendly Office Project Update: Staff Dog Maron-chan Visited the free stitch Office
In December, one of our staff members brought their dog ‘Maron’ to the office.
